The definition of ‘player grade’ here with this SG Special. The main event is at some point the head has been off (like many old Gibsons) and professionally refit. In the process the back of the head was replaced so the serial number is gone - aged as ‘73 via the pots.

The machines heads have been replaced, one is odd. The strap buttons have been repeatedly refit in different positions. The knobs have been replaced as has the truss rod cover.

Overall it’s in decent condition and both plays and sounds great.
